Hand..., inu, hand...
I was very impressed on how fast inu picked up the tricks we wanted her to do. We started asking inu to sit by offering some treats, inu did it well in one day. After a few days of repeated training to make sure inu actually understand the word 'sit', we switched to asking for inu's hand before giving her treats only a few days (about 4 days) ago. Of course, inu did not understand the command at the beginning. Surprisingly, inu gave us her hand on Sunday when we asked for it with treats in our hands. We repeated this process for a few times and inu did it well perfectly. We were so thrilled. Eventually, we just stood still with treats in hand and said 'hand..., inu, hand...' without extending our hands, inu was giving her hand to us. She sure understood the word 'hand'. It was a great feeling moment in our lives.
Inu was making more progress on house breaking. She started to understand the word 'pee pee' and she could do it right more than half of the time now. She would sometimes pee at the right place when we asked her to go pee pee. It sure took a lot of time and effort to monitor inu's every move and to work closely with inu to make the process is right. It was so funny that inu would sometimes walk and pee at her designated cage by herself in order to get our praise and play time. We suspected inu did that purposely but also doubted that inu was that smart. Anyway, it was so great to know that inu sure was growing up and tried her best to understand the human world.
We roughly measured inu again over the weekend again form front toe to back toe and the length was estimated at about 64 cm now. Inu sure was growing up fast. We she extended her body in her cage, the front and back toes were actually coming out of her cage now. We were so excited about her growing up but also surprised it was that fast. And here came our nightmare this morning, inu pulled down all the toilet papers from the roll in the toilet and tore them into pieces. I stared at inu but couldn't resist the funny feeling from my heart. I finally put a smile on my face.
