Inu's first night
I woke up 6 am this morning, removing my ear plugs, I could seem to hear inu screaming. But I wasn't quite sure. It could be my imagination. I walked to the door and leaned my ear on the door seam, inu sure was screaming (or crying) out loud. I didn't know how long she'd been crying. I was very worry that it might disturb the neigbhors. I walked downstair, pat on her cage and asked her to keep quiet. It took a while for her to claim down. I sat on the floor, inu seemed to feel relief seeing me next to her cage. I think she has been tired screaming
whole night and she went to sleep again...
I took a rest and woke up at 7:30 am, imaginging inu is crying again, I walked downstair to see her. She was quiet and sleeping like a baby now (She is still a baby). Sensing me around, inu woke up and started jumping around and yelling. I knew she wanted out and she must be very hungry now. We prepared her breakfast. To our surprise, inu did not finish her breakfast. She also did not finish her dinner. Hmm... I though all beagles are the same, eat
all you can. May be I need to change her food.
Training inu doing her business on the first day was a BIG failure. I tried to keep inu in the rest room full of papers as long as possible until she does her business, it was not successful. Inu made her first pee in the middle of my kitchen, subsequent ones near to the wall, near to the rest room, none on the paper. Inu made her first poo right at the entrance to the kitchen, unfortunately, she ate them while we were not around (yuk!). Second poo right at the same place after she came back to the house from playing crazily on the grass field outside of the house. It was too late for me to rushed her to the rest room. So I ended up cleaning all your businesses whole day. I used up the whole roll of toilet paper [-(.
It's been 24 hours with inu, I realized that inu will follow everywhere we go in the house. When we are eating dinner, she lied down quietly beside our feet. While we are watching TV, she would, from time to time, watch TV with us (inu was really looking at the TV). She would lied beside my feet most of the time and lean her jaw on my toes.
Inu has been a very cute and quiet dog in the house. Once she is outside on the grass field, she is like typical beagle, sniff around, hop around, eat everything she could find on the ground. I have been busy digging dried leaves out of her mouth. Somehow, she likes to bite the grass and pull them out. She was playing too crazily at one time and I decided to put her back to the house. Inu was struggling with all forces trying to get away from my hands. But once she got back to the house, she was like a cute baby. Oh mine... oh mine...
Tonight will be inu's second night. We have been thinking putting inu's cage beside our bed. That way inu may feel us around and may not cry at night. But this is not the long term solution to train inu. We decided to isolate inu and see how it will work out. Anyway, we don't need to work tomorrow.
"Nini, thanks for accompanying inu today, I think she likes you".
Nini: "I don't like her... :("
